Initial information regarding the alleged crash of the Sriwijaya Air plane was known from FlightRadar24 data.

 Flightradar24 data shows that the Boeing B737-500 aircraft stopped at about 11 nautical miles from Soekarno-Hatta Airport or above the Thousand Islands. The plane had passed an altitude of 11,000 feet, but suddenly lost altitude.  Aircraft speed also dropped dramatically.  (Quoted from Kompas.com)

Seribu Islands Regent Djunaedi confirmed that the Sriwijaya Air plane for the Jakarta-Pontianak route crashed around Male Island.

 "That's right (on Male Island)," said Djunaedi to Kompas.com.

 The National SAR Agency team immediately jumped into the location of the alleged crash.

 "The team from Basarnas is heading to the location of the incident." Basarnas is on the way.  There is no further information from me, "said Djunaedi.
